Stillman College Set For NASCAR Debut This Weekend
Stillman College is set to sponsor a car in the Folds of Honor QuickTrip 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton, Georgia.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — In a first for Stillman College, the historically-Black college will make its NASCAR debut on Sunday during the Folds of Honor QuickTrip 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton, Georgia.

The No. 44 Stillman College-themed Chevrolet Camaro will be driven by NASCAR veteran Greg Biffle of NY Racing Team. NY Racing Team is owned by African American entrepreneur John Cohen. The team is also a marketing partner of Urban Edge Network, Inc. and HBCU League Pass Plus — the digital streaming service for HBCU sports and campus events.

Stillman College says qualifying for the race will occur Saturday, March 19, with Sunday's race set for 2 p.m.
Stillman College President Cynthia Warrick expressed excitement on behalf of the university as NASCAR partners with HBCUs.

“Having a Stillman-branded car in the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 signals a major effort for NASCAR, and we are honored to be a part of this initiative," she said. "Plus, our car looks really cool.”
Stillman College also said it is in the process of finalizing a multi-year content streaming partnership with Urban Edge Network, Inc.-HBCU League Pass Plus to provide live-streams of Stillman sports, archived game footage and photo galleries, in addition to video content from college's choir and band, and virtual campus tours.
