Stillman College is gearing up for the return of its volleyball program and will hold open tryouts for this upcoming season.
TUSCALOOSA, AL — Stillman College is gearing up for the return of its volleyball program and will hold open tryouts for the upcoming season on June 16.

The tryouts will be held at 2 p.m. in Birthright Alumni Hall.

As Patch previously reported, Stillman College is expanding its sports offerings to include volleyball and men's and women's bowling for the 2022-23 school year.
Stillman College softball coach Joel Penfield was announced in late May as the volleyball coach.

The resurrection of the volley program — one that began in the mid-1970s — comes after the Tigers previously competed in women's volleyball as a member of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and NCAA Division II through the 2015 season.
