Reese represented an offensive bright spot for the Tigers and coach Terrance Whittle during a tough 2022 campaign, hitting .333 over 38 games in a stretch that included 11 doubles. He also added one home run and 24 RBI.

Holding down left field, his glove and speed in the outfield have also been a valuable assets on defense, as he was looked to early in the season to provide a solid presence. In 2022, Reese logged a .1000 fielding percentage, with 49 putouts and two outfield assists. This was good enough to earn the sophomore a Southern States Athletic Conference Gold Glove in 2022.
