Stillman's Bubel Earns SSAC Softball Player Of The Week

Stillman College softball standout Madison Bubel has been named the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) Player of the Week on Monday.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Stillman College softball standout Madison Bubel has been named the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) Player of the Week.

The honor was announced on Monday and comes after Bubel hit .714 with seven RBIs on Saturday in Stillman's run rule sweep of University of Tennessee Southern.

The conference honor is the first received by the junior from Alabaster, who transferred to Stillman from Marion Military Institute.

Across two wins, which saw Stillman outscore UTS by a combined score of 19-2, Bubel went 5-for-7 with a 1.429 slugging percentage. This total was also aided by an RBI triple and a three-run home run.

Over 12 games on the season, Bubel has logged a .379 average, going 11-for-29 at the plate, with 13 RBI and 13 runs.
