Stillman's Petty Named NAIA's Men's Basketball Player Of The Week
Trey Petty picked up his third and most notable weekly award on Monday, being named NAIA's Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Stillman College senior guard Trey Petty racked up on awards this week, the latest seeing him honored as NAIA's Men's Basketball Player of the Week. This marks the third weekly award the Huntsville native has picked up this week.

Petty was also named the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) Player of the Week on Jan. 11, in addition to the Black College Sports Network Small Schools Men's Basketball Player of the Week on Monday — an award presented to student-athletes from Historic Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).

Petty turned heads by logging a triple double in Stillman's season opener on Jan. 5 at Rust College with 38 points, 16 rebounds and 12 assists. He has also been instrumental in leading the Tigers to a 3-0 start, including two wins over William Carey University, where he averaged 26.7 points, 10.3 rebounds and 5.7 assists. He currently ranks No. 3 in the NAIA for scoring among players with three or more games played.
Stillman (3-0) is scheduled to play at the University of Mobile Monday night at 7:30 p.m. and will travel to Blue Mountain College this Friday and Saturday.
