Suspect Charged With Attempted Murder After Woman Shot At Northport Apartment Complex
A Northport man has been charged with attempted murder after a woman was shot late Sunday night at Northbrook Apartments.

NORTHPORT, AL — A Northport man is charged with attempted murder after a woman sustained non-life threatening injuries in a shooting at Northbrook Apartments late Sunday night.

Captain Jack Kennedy, commander of the multi-agency Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, said Monday morning that Northport Police officers were called to the residence at approximately 11:30 p.m.

The victim was located and found to have a minor head injury, while Kristopher Andrew Oliver, 33, was charged with attempted murder and transported to the Tuscaloosa County Jail.
His bond was set at $60,000.

"The female victim reported that she allowed an acquaintance to live with her temporarily," Kennedy said. "There was no reported romantic relationship between the two. The victim reported that during a discussion concerning the suspect's future, he, without warning, produced a pistol and pointed it at her. As the victim was trying to react, the pistol fired one time, grazing the victim’s head, causing a non-life threatening injury."
