Suspect Charged With Attempted Murder After Man Shot At Creekwood Apartments Tuesday

TUSCALOOSA, AL — A Tuscaloosa man is charged with attempted murder following a shooting early Tuesday morning that seriously injured one person at a Tuscaloosa apartment complex.

Captain Jack Kennedy, commander of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, said Marquis Rayone Brown, 40, was identified as a suspect after Tuscaloosa Police were called at approximately 3 a.m. Tuesday morning to the shooting call at Creekwood Apartments on 40th Avenue.

Once TPD arrived on scene, a man was found with multiple gunshot wounds and transported to DCH Regional Medical Center in critical condition.

After being identified as a suspect, Brown was taken in custody late Tuesday night.

Kennedy says Brown has been been booked into the Tuscaloosa County Jail on the attempted murder charge and was denied bond due to several probation revocations from previous charges.
