As Patch previously reported, Vicky White, assistant director of corrections for Lauderdale County, is accused of helping Casey White escape the morning of April 29 under false pretenses of taking him to the courthouse for a mental health evaluation. The two have yet to be found, and authorities later learned there was no evaluation scheduled.

What's more, following revelations that the two had been in a relationship for at least two years, a warrant was issued for Vicky White's arrest earlier this week on a charge of permitting or facilitating an escape after investigators determined she helped Casey White.

At the time of his escape, Casey White was serving 75 years in prison and was in Lauderdale County Jail awaiting court appearances involving a 2015 murder case in which he confessed to killing Connie Ridgeway.

Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey on Friday also announced a $5,000 reward for information leading to their arrests. This is in addition to a $10,000 reward offered by U.S. Marshals Service.

Police continue to maintain that Casey White and Vicky White are likely armed and should be considered dangerous.
