TPD Identifies Suspect Sought After SWAT Responds To Fosters Ferry Road

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Tuscaloosa Police responded to a domestic violence call early Saturday morning that led to a SWAT deployment in the 2600 block of Fosters Ferry Road.

TPD says officers were dispatched to the residence at approximately 5:50 a.m. after a woman reported that a man struck her in the head with a handgun during a dispute.

Authorities then said the woman was able to get outside safely.

As of 10:30 a.m., the suspect had refused to exit the residence, prompting Tuscaloosa Police Department’s SWAT team to respond to the scene.

Police later said SWAT officers entered the home but did not locate the suspect.

Officers obtained warrants to charge Taboris Rayshun Doss, 22, with second-degree domestic violence/assault.

He is not in custody at this time.
