Tuscaloosa Selected To Host Alabama Junior Disc Golf Championship For First Time

TUSCALOOSA, AL — “The Hangar” at Robert Cardinal Airport Park has been announced as the host site for the 2023 Alabama Junior Disc Golf Championship on Saturday, Aug. 5.

The event will see Tuscaloosa will welcome junior disc golf players from around the Southeast, with the tournament broken down for age and gender-based divisions. All competitors are ages 18 and under.

Organizers say all skill and experience levels are welcome to participate and registration is priced for the tournament at $20 for ages 10 and under and $25 for age 11-18.
Participants will receive two tournament-stamped discs, a custom mini-marker, a tournament T-shirt, two rated rounds for ages 12 and above, one rated round for under age 12, and the entry fee for the state putting championship.

The first round of the 2023 Alabama Junior Disc Golf Championship will begin at approximately 9 a.m., followed by a lunch break and second round in the afternoon.
The Tuscaloosa Disc Golf Club is hosting the tournament, marking the first time the championship tournament will be held in Tuscaloosa. The championship has been held in Opelika for the last two years.
The deadline to register for the tournament is Aug. 3 and the deadline to order a T-shirt is July 22.
