"At Tuscaloosa City Schools, the safety and well-being of our students and staff are our highest priorities," Cameron said. "Through the Say Something Anonymous Reporting System, we empower our students, staff, and community members to take an active role in keeping our schools safe by sharing concerns confidentially and promptly. TCS says credible tips are analyzed by the National Crisis Center, which notifies school representatives and law enforcement if immediate intervention is needed.

The SS-ARS was provided at no cost to the school system by Sandy Hook Promise and is the only anonymous reporting system exclusively for schools. Sandy Hook Promisealso offers training to help students and adults better identify potential threats.

“We believe that every student and staff member deserve a safe and supportive learning and working environment," Cameron said. "The Say Something Anonymous Reporting System provides our students, staff, and community with a simple, secure way to voice concerns before they escalate. By working together and looking out for one another, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of our children and employees."
