Teen Killed, 3 Others Injured In Greene County Crash Wednesday

A 13-year-old was killed and three others injured in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon on U.S. Highway 43 in Greene County.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — A 13-year-old was killed and three others injured in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon on U.S. Highway 43 in Greene County.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said at approximately 1:45 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, a 2019 Honda Accord in which the teen was a passenger was struck by a 2009 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by a man from Akron.

ALEA says the teen was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the Honda — a 36-year-old woman from Demopolis — her 5-year-old passenger and the driver of the Chevy were all injured and transported to an area hospital for treatment.

The crash reportedly occurred approximately one mile north of Forkland in Greene County.

The circumstances of the collision remain under investigation.
