No Injuries In Thursday Trailer Fire On Old Buttermilk Road

No injuries resulted from a Thursday afternoon new mobile home fire on Old Buttermilk Road.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Tuscaloosa Fire Rescue says multiple units responded to a mobile home on fire off of Old Buttermilk Road Thursday afternoon.

TFR said the call came in shortly after 3 p.m. and when units were in route, they were informed that someone might be in the house.

Fortunately, TFR said some citizens stopped to help and were able to get the occupant out of the home. The one occupant was transported to the hospital in stable condition.

Fire crews were eventually able to contain the blaze, but not before substantial damage was done to the home.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
