Third Annual Tuscaloosa Toyota Classic Set For September

The Tuscaloosa Toyota Classic is set to return for its third year on Sept. 9-15 at Ol' Colony Golf Course.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa Toyota Classic is set to return for its third year on Sept. 9-15 at Ol' Colony Golf Course.

Organizers also said the event will partner with DCH Health System to benefit women’s health initiatives such as cancer research, treatment, and detection.

Last year's event reportedly brought in an estimated $1.6 million in media and public relations coverage as over 100 female professional golfers from all over the world played in the Friday-Sunday tournament.

The Epson Tour is described as the official road to the LPGA, with over half the field from previous years going on to play in the LPGA.

What's more, over 125 local golfers are set to play in the tournament's Wednesday/Thursday Pro-Ams. A Meet The Players party is also set for Sept. 11 at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
