Tide Baseball's Jason Jackson Named ABCA Assistant Coach Of The Year
The ACBA on Wednesday named Alabama baseball associate head coach Jason Jackson as the 2023 ABCA/Marines Assistant Coach Of The Year.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The American Baseball Coaches Association (ACBA) on Wednesday named Alabama baseball associate head coach Jason Jackson as the 2023 ABCA/Marines National Assistant Coach of the Year.

With the honor, Jackson became the first Crimson Tide assistant in program history to earn the award, which has been presented annually since 1999.

Jackson was thrust into the spotlight during the 2023 season following the firing of head coach Brad Bohannon. This saw him manage the Crimson Tide as interim head coach over the final two months of the season, with the team going on to post a 13-6 record with Jackson at the helm.
During the regular season stretch, the Crimson Tide won three consecutive series against SEC opponents in the final month.

Jackson then helped guide the team to its first NCAA Super Regional since 2014.
Under first-year head coach Rob Vaughn, Alabama will start its fall exhibition slate on Friday, Oct. 13 at home against Auburn.
