TUSCALOOSA, AL — Alabama pitcher Myles Upchurch has added another national honor to his standout freshman season, earning First Team Freshman All-America recognition from D1Baseball.com.

The honor announced Wednesday marks Upchurch's third Freshman All-America selection this season after previously being recognized by Baseball America on June 26 and the National College Baseball Writers Association on June 8.

Upchurch was one of 36 freshmen nationwide selected by D1Baseball.com and played a pivotal role in helping Alabama reach its first Men's College World Series since 1999.
The right-handed starter finished his freshman campaign with an 8-3 record and a team-best 3.75 ERA among Crimson Tide starting pitchers.

Over 16 appearances, including 15 starts, Upchurch allowed 30 earned runs across 72 innings while striking out 78 batters and issuing 41 walks.
He was one of only six NCAA Division I freshmen to make at least 15 starts during the 2026 season and was named to the SEC All-Freshman Team before postseason play began.
Upchurch is currently participating in the 2026 USA Collegiate Baseball National Team Training Camp.
