Tide Picked To Win SEC; 19 Players Named To Preseason All-SEC Teams

The Crimson Tide has been picked to finish as SEC Champions during the upcoming season, with 19 players named to preseason All-SEC teams.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Once again, the Alabama Crimson Tide football team has been picked to win the SEC Championship, grabbing 177 first-place votes for the upcoming season, which was announced on Friday as SEC Media Days comes to a close in Atlanta.

The Tide was also picked to win the SEC Western Division with 1,262 points, followed by Texas A&M with 968 points.

Alabama will open the 2022 college football season at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 3 at Bryant-Denny Stadium against Utah State.

Other preseason accolades saw 19 Alabama players picked for Preseason All-SEC Football Teams, which led the SEC heading into the 2022 season.
