Tide's Campbell Named Bronko Nagurski National Defensive Player Of The Week
A native of Erial, New Jersey, Campbell posted a career-high 10 tackles in the 34-20 win over No. 15 Tennessee on Saturday.

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Crimson Tide sophomore linebacker Jihaad Campbell on Tuesday was named the Bronko Nagurski National Defensive Player of the Week for his bone-crushing performance against Tennessee.

A native of Erial, New Jersey, Campbell posted a career-high 10 tackles in the 34-20 win over No. 15 Tennessee in Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday.

Campbell also picked up a fumble and returned it 24 yards to give Alabama a two-score lead as the Crimson Tide shut out the Volunteers in the second half.
On the season, Campbell has posted 39 total tackles and 0.5 sacks over seven games.

Campbell and the Crimson Tide will be off this week, before taking on LSU on Nov. 4.
