Tide's Dallas Turner Named Semifinalist For Lombardi Award

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Alabama junior linebacker Dallas Turner was named Wednesday as one of 12 semifinalists for the Lombardi Award by the Rotary Club of Houston.

The Lombardi Award is presented each year to the college football offensive or defensive lineman who exemplifies the character and discipline of NFL Hall of Famer Vince Lombardi, along with outstanding performance and ability.

During the 2023 campaign, Turner has recorded 34 total tackles, including seven sacks and 10.5 tackles for loss.

UA Athletics said on Wednesday that four finalists will be named on Nov. 15, with the winner of the of award being announced at a banquet in Houston in mid-December.

Alabama has had three winners of the prestigious award: Cornelius Bennett (1986), Jonathan Allen (2016) and Will Anderson Jr. in 2022.
