TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Alabama sophomore guard Jaden Shackelford knocked down 26 points in a 85-69 win for the Crimson Tide last Tuesday against Eastern Tennessee State University, which was a good enough performance to earn the California native a nod for SEC Player of the Week for Week 5.

Shackelford was also able to grab four rebounds, two assists and a block in the win, shooting 53.3% (8-of-15) from the field, including 61.5% (8-of-13) from 3-point range. The performance was a memorable one worthy of accolades, but the points scored fell just short of Shackelford's career high of 28 points against Arkansas and Auburn last year.
