Tide's Will Anderson, Jr. Named SEC Co-Defensive Player Of The Week

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Alabama junior linebacker Will Anderson, Jr. has been selected as the Southeastern Conference's Co-Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in the Tide's 55-3 win over Vanderbilt on Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

UA said on Monday that the conference honor marks the sixth time in Anderson's career he has received the award. It also represents the third SEC weekly award received by the Crimson Tide this season.

In the win over Vanderbilt, Anderson tallied a team-leading three tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks on only 24 snaps on defense.

Anderson and the Tide (4-0, 1-0 SEC) will travel to Fayetteville, Arkansas on Saturday to take on the Arkansas Razorbacks (3-1, 1-1 SEC).
