Tuscaloosa City Council President Kip Tyner confirmed to Patch that PopStroke will be in the vicinity of Hampton Inn and Baumhower's Victory Grille at Harper Lee Drive and Helen Keller Boulevard.

"All that vacant land you see that's flagged and they've already started pushing dirt because they plan to be open the Thursday before the Texas game (on Sept. 9)," Tyner said.

According to business entity records filed with the Alabama Secretary of State's Office, PopStroke Tuscaloosa, LLC, was first formed on April 7 and has a Wetumpka mailing address. The company lists Incorp Services, Inc. as its registered agent.

"It's so huge for the city and just huge for my district," Tyner said, mentioning that the putt-putt concept will be one that will appeal to all ages. "This is just going to be, I believe, not only big for our district and being in a half mile from the greater Alberta area, so many people we've been recruiting like retail and grocery stores, I think this is going to push that over the top."

PopStroke defines its concept as technology-infused golf entertainment venue featuring two 18-hole putting courses crafted by Woods and his TGR Design team. PopStroke also offers a custom mobile app that allows customers to order drinks and food to be delivered anywhere on the course, showcase their scores on a digital scoreboard, and save with the PopBucks loyalty rewards program.

"PopStroke continues to use golf to bring families and friends together in a fun, welcoming environment,” Woods said. “I am excited to see PopStroke expanding into these new cities.Every PopStroke venue is outfitted with special edition TaylorMade golf balls for customers to use on the course and take home as a keepsake. In addition, premium TaylorMade rental putters will be available to further elevate the putting experience."

The putting courses are complimented by an elevated full-service restaurant and bar that includes outdoor dining areas, various outdoor games, a playground, and an ice cream parlor.

"We are seeing huge consumer demand to bring our immersive experience into new cities. PopStroke was created to bring people together across all ages and skill levels through the game of golf," CEO and Founder Greg Bartoli said. "We are thrilled to expand our reach and share the PopStroke experience with new guests."
