Tom Morello To Play Rally Concert For Striking Brookwood Miners

Rage Against The Machine guitarist and songwriter Tom Morello is set to join the striking Warrior Met miners at a rally next week.

BROOKWOOD, AL — Rage Against The Machine guitarist and songwriter Tom Morello is set to join the striking members of United Mine Workers of America at Warrior Met Coal for a solidarity rally next week in Brookwood.

UMWA members at Warrior Met Coal have been on strike since April 2021, with no compromise in sight as miners continue to take to the picket line for better pay.

Morello — who is known for being an activist and supporting labor unions — will take the stage on Wednesday. Sept 14 at 6 p.m. at the UMWA Local Union Hall 2397 at 16946 Highway 216 in Brookwood.
