TPD Seeks Hit-And-Run Suspect After Crash Involving Emergency Vehicle
The Tuscaloosa Police Department is asking for the public's help identifying a suspect in a hit-and-run last month involving a TFR vehicle.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa Police Department is asking for the public's help identifying a suspect in a hit-and-run last month involving a Tuscaloosa Fire Rescue truck.

TPD posted a video of the vehicle, which shows the driver cross into the wrong lane of Hargrove Road in order to pass the emergency vehicle, which was running its lights and sirens on the way to a stroke patient who needed medical attention.

The hit-and-run occurred on Hargrove Road just past the train station at 6:38 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 19.
Dash cam video was captured by a Northstar ambulance following the rescue truck, which TPD made public in an effort to track down the suspect.

TPD says the suspect vehicle appeared to be a 2010-2014 Hyuandai Elantra.
