TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa Police Department is asking for the public's help identifying a man suspected of trying to break into the Tuscaloosa Public Library in April.

TPD says the suspect, who appeared intoxicated, looks to be between 18 and 25 years of age and arrived at the library on Jack Warner Parkway around 12:21 a.m. on the morning of April 12.

Investigators say he then used a donation drop box to shatter the glass door and enter the building and was reportedly inside for about four minutes. While TPD says it doesn't appear that any items were stolen, the suspect "turned around and kicked the broken glass."
