Fay became the second consecutive Alabama starting pitcher to earn All-SEC honors, joining former Crimson Tide standout Riley Quick, who earned second-team honors in 2025.

Alabama athletics says the 2025-26 seasons marks the first time since 2001-02 that the baseball program has produced back-to-back all-conference starting pitchers.

Fay finished SEC play with a team-best six wins and a 4.38 ERA across 63.2 innings in 10 conference starts. His 63.2 innings pitched led all SEC starters, while his 73 strikeouts ranked fourth among conference pitchers.

The right-hander also posted a 1.08 WHIP during league play, sixth-best in the SEC, and delivered one of the most memorable performances of Alabama’s season when he threw the program’s first individual no-hitter since 1942 in a March 20 win over then-No. 18 Florida.

The special outing marked the first no-hitter by an SEC pitcher against a conference opponent since Vanderbilt’s Jack Leiter accomplished the feat in 2021.

Neal earned second-team honors after serving in a utility role for the Crimson Tide throughout conference play and by swinging a hot bat for much of the season.

Neal batted .294 in 29 SEC games with seven doubles, one triple, two home runs and 19 RBIs while also drawing 19 walks.

Defensively, Neal made starts at three positions during league action, including 17 in right field, 10 at catcher and two in left field. He committed just one error in 109 chances for a .991 fielding percentage.

Upchurch was recognized as one of the SEC’s top freshmen after compiling a 5-2 record and a 3.91 ERA in 10 conference starts. His ERA was the lowest among Alabama starting pitchers in SEC play, while opponents hit just .193 against him.

UA says Upchurch was the only freshman starting pitcher in the SEC to make all 10 available conference starts this season.

The Crimson Tide is set to return to action this week in Hoover at the 2026 SEC Tournament.
