TTS President & CEO Don Staley Transitioning To Advisory Role
Tuscaloosa Tourism & Sports President and CEO Don Staley is set to transition to a new role as an advisor and consultant on July 1

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Tuscaloosa Tourism & Sports on Thursday announced that President and CEO Don Staley is set to transition to a new role as an advisor and consultant on July 1, with Kelsey Rush then assuming the role of president and CEO role.

“On behalf of Tuscaloosa Tourism and Sports (TTS) and the board of directors, it is both bittersweet and exciting as we share an update on the timeline of Don Staley’s expected retirement,” TTS Board Chair Samyra Snoddy said. “Through Don’s guidance over the years, he has inspired many and has established a strong foundation that has helped us make plans for the future of the organization."

TTS says Rush will serve as the interim president and CEO position beginning July 1 and will collaborate closely with Staley in the months that follow.

Rush will then assume the role in a permanent capacity upon Staley's official retirement.
TTS then said Staley has offered to serve in an advisory capacity through the end of September, with the possibility to extend as needed.
