Tuscaloosa Accepting Toy Donations For Parking Tickets

The City of Tuscaloosa on Friday announced that for a limited time, residents can pay off $18 city parking tickets with a toy donation.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The City of Tuscaloosa on Friday announced that for a limited time, residents can pay off $18 city parking tickets with a toy donation to Toys for Tots.

The initiative is set to begin Monday, Nov. 7 and last through Dec. 5.

The city said in a press release on Friday that toys valued at $10 or more will satisfy a $18 parking ticket, while toys valued at $20 or more will be accepted in place of two $18 parking tickets.

Those wishing to donate toys in place of parking tickets can do so at Tuscaloosa Municipal Court, which is located at 2122 6th Street.

A receipt for purchase or a price tag on the toy showing the value at $10 or more will be requested before the donation can be accepted.
