TUSCALOOSA, AL — The 2022 high school baseball season is in the books and several west Alabama athletes were awarded all-state selections this week by the Alabama Sports Writers Association.

Trenton Shirley (UTL), — Jr., Tuscaloosa County High (Class 7A, second-team)

Luke Williams (P) — Sr., Hillcrest (Class 6A, second-team)

Aiden McGinnis (IF) — Sr., Jasper (Class 6A, second-team)

Sage Hayes (DH) — Sr., Brookwood (Class 6A, honorable mention)

Jaidyn Thomas (OF) — Sr., Central (Class 6A, honorable mention)

Ben Capps (P) — Sr., Gordo (Class 4A, first-team)

Lawson Neel (C) — Sr., Gordo (Class 4A, first-team)

Bo Burkes (IF) — Sr., Bibb County. (Class 4A, first-team)

Tanner Bailey (DH) — Sr., Gordo (Class 4A, first-team)

Jaden Roberts (IF) — Jr., Northside (Class 4A, second-team)
