Tuscaloosa-Area Baseball, Softball Standouts Named To AHSAA North-South All-Star Games

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Several student-athletes from the Tuscaloosa Patch coverage area have been selected to play in upcoming baseball and softball North-South All-Star games hosted by the Alabama High School Athletic Association.

Each team is comprised of 2023 rising seniors who were chosen by a special coaches committee from nominations received from AHSAA member school coaches. The showcase games will be played during the AHSAA Summer Conference in July.

In baseball, Tuscaloosa County High infielder Trenton Shirley was the only player selected from the Tuscaloosa Patch coverage area.

For the North-South Softball All-Star Game, the Tuscaloosa area saw two players selected: Hillcrest catcher Willesha Lang and Northside pitcher Becca Chadwick.
