Tuscaloosa City, County Schools To Dismiss Early Tuesday Due To Severe Weather Threat
City and county schools, in addition to Shelton State Community College, will dismiss early Tuesday due to the threat of severe weather

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Tuscaloosa City Schools and the Tuscaloosa County School System will both dismiss early Tuesday due to the threat of severe weather later in the day.

- Tuscaloosa City Schools says both meals and transportation will be provided as part of the early dismissal, with elementary schools including Tuscaloosa Magnet Schools and The Alberta School of Performing Arts will dismiss at 11:30 a.m. TCS middle schools will dismiss at noon, while high schools and S.T.A.R.S. Academy will dismiss at 12:30 p.m. All after school activities will be canceled.
- TCSS elementary and intermediate Schools will dismiss at 11:35 a.m., while middle and high schools will dismiss at noon. TCSS also said all after school activities, including afternoon extended day, are canceled. Bus transportation will still run and meals will still be served.
- Tuscaloosa Academy will dismiss at 11 a.m.
- Shelton State Community College will close both campus at 11:30 a.m.
- The Tuscaloosa Public Library will close all of its branches at noon.
