Tuscaloosa City Hall Updates Public Meeting Entrance, Annex III Lobby Hours

The city announced Monday it will implement changes to public meeting access at City Hall and adjust lobby hours at Annex III

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The City of Tuscaloosa announced Monday it will implement changes to public meeting access at City Hall and adjust lobby hours at Annex III beginning Monday, Feb. 16.

Under the new policy, the University Boulevard entrance to Tuscaloosa City Hall will no longer be open for public meetings.

The city says residents attending public meetings will instead enter City Hall via the crosswalk from the fourth floor of the downtown parking deck, located at 2230 Seventh St.

City officials said City Hall will remain accessible from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday through the crosswalk entrance connected to the parking deck.

Along with the entrance change, updated lobby hours were announced for Annex III, located at 2230 Gary Fitts Street.

The first-floor doors, which provide access to Water Billing, Permitting and the City Clerk’s Office, will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The Water Billing Office and Permitting Office, both located inside Annex III, will operate from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The city says the Water Billing drive-thru window will maintain extended hours from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

City officials said the changes are intended to streamline access and clarify entry points for residents conducting business or attending meetings.

Residents with questions about the updated access points or operating hours are asked to call 311 for assistance.
