Tuscaloosa City Offices To Close For Labor Day, Trash Collection Delayed

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Tuscaloosa City Hall will close early at 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29, and 311 services will close at 5 p.m. ahead of Labor Day.

Both will remain closed on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 1.

The city says Normal hours will resume Tuesday, Sept. 2, and there will be no regularly scheduled City Council meetings on Tuesday.

Garbage, trash, and recycling collection will be delayed by one day next week:

• Monday routes will be collected Tuesday, Sept. 2
• Tuesday routes will be collected Wednesday, Sept. 3
• Wednesday routes will be collected Thursday, Sept. 4
• Thursday routes will be collected Friday, Sept. 5
