Tuscaloosa City Schools To Host Job Fair On June 16
The city school system will host a job fair next week at Central High School in an effort to fill a wide range of openings.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Tuscaloosa City Schools is set to host a job fair on Thursday, June 16, in an effort to fill a range of openings.

The job fair will be held at Central High School from 9 a.m. until noon, with candidates given the opportunity to learn about different employment offerings through the city school system.

TCS says administrators will collect resumes from candidates, while mini-interviews will also be conducted on site at the job fair.

- Pay is 3% higher than the average school system in Alabama
- State retirement is offered.
- Free dental insurance at no cost for the employee.
- Blue Cross/Blue Shield health insurance available through PEEHIP
- Teachers work a total o 10 months with summers off, in addition to sick and personal leave
- 12-month employees receive vacation, personal and sick leave.
- Additional cash incentives are available for bus drivers
- TCS will help pay for college courses for those needing certification, as well as the Praxis test.
- TCS also says it will provide professional development, including classroom management training.
- Salary boosts for athletic coaches or academic leaders.
