Tuscaloosa County Commission Agenda Breakdown: July 21, 2021

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa County Commission will have its regular meeting Wednesday morning at 9 a.m. in the bottom floor of the Tuscaloosa County Courthouse.

  1. The Commission will take action on a $716,800 grant from the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) for traffic signal installation and roadway improvements on M-Class Boulevard at Mercedes Drive and I-20 westbound ramp intersections for Mercedes-Benz U.S. International and Schnellecke Logistics.
  2. Assistant County Administrator David Howell will seek approval of Emergency Rental Assistance Program policies from the County Commission. The online portal for the program went live last week, as Patch previously reported, providing aid to renters and landlords in the form of federal aid dollars.
  3. As officials look to bolster smaller fire departments around the county, Commissioners will consider $3,000 in District 2 discretionary funds for equipment for the Lake View Fire District, along with $3,648.87 for a grant match for the Town of Lake View’s HMGP Outdoor Warning Siren.
