- The County Commission will consider awarding a bid for the ongoing 35th Street building project, which saw site work to begin in March. As Patch previously reported, the project will see the relocation of the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office's patrol service from its current location at the airport. Site work on the project cost approximately $150,000, with the location previously being owned by the state Board of Education.
- The Tuscaloosa Public Library will present its annual funding presentation to the Commission on Wednesday. TPL last week in its presentation to the City of Tuscaloosa, requested $1.47 million for its annual funding — which is up from the $1.29 million it received for its 2021 budget year, as Patch previously reported.
- District 1 Commissioner Stan Acker is expected to recommend the County donate a surplus Automative External Defibrillator (AED) to Northside High School Athletics. This is a small part of a wider push by county officials to spread out as many of the life saving devices across the county as possible after purchasing a large cache of AEDs with reimbursable money made available through the federal CARES Act. Patch reported in October 2020 when the County Commission approved $400,000 For Lucas and AED Devices for its volunteer fire departments, which then freed up surplus units. The devices have be praised for the utility, especially in rural communities like Samantha that may have limited immediate access to emergency personnel.
