Tuscaloosa County To Host Fall Cleanup Day Nov. 1

Tuscaloosa County residents will have an opportunity to declutter their homes next month during a free cleanup event.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Tuscaloosa County residents will have an opportunity to declutter their homes next month during a free cleanup event hosted by the Tuscaloosa County Commission.

The county announced that collection sites will be open Saturday, Nov. 1, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at manned drop-off locations in each County Commission district.

Large collection containers will be provided by Waste Management Inc.

Residents are encouraged to bring unwanted household items from closets, attics, garages, basements or storage spaces. There is no charge to dispose of qualifying items.

Contractors, household and kitchen garbage, and hazardous waste will not be accepted.

Commission District 1

  • 13600 Highway 82 W (Camp Coker)
  • 17504 Finnell Road (Camp Samantha)
  • Highway 171/Montgomery VFD/Ballfield Parking Lot

Commission District 2

  • Jerry Tingle Activity Center (21973 Highway 216)
  • Highway 216/Keenes Mill Road (5826 Keenes Mill Road)
  • Coaling Fire Department (15150 Highway 11 N)

Commission District 3

  • Big Sandy Elementary (11950 Upper Hull Road)
  • Englewood Elementary (10300 Old Greensboro Road)
  • Maxwell Elementary (11370 Monticello Drive)

Commission District 4

  • Foster's Grocery Store (13474 Highway 11 S)
  • Buhl Elem. School (11968 Buhl School Road)
  • Sipsey Valley Middle School (15817 Romulus Road)
