Tuscaloosa County Man In Custody After Allegedly Killing Teen Ex-Girlfriend

TUSCALOOSA, AL — A 19-year-old man wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of his teenage ex-girlfriend outside a Tuscaloosa club has turned himself in and been charged with capital murder.

Captan Marty Sellers of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit told local media Sunday that Christian Jermaine Hall, 19, turned himself in to the Aliceville Police Department early Sunday morning before being transported to the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office.

Hall was subsequently charged with capital murder and remains held in the Tuscaloosa County Jail without bond.

Sellers said the arrest comes after Tuscaloosa Police responded around 10 p.m. Friday to a report of a female who had been shot at a club in the 1700 block of Culver Road.

As Patch previously reported, the victim, who was a minor, was taken to an area hospital, where she later died from her injuries.

Sellers said authorities will not release additional identifying information about the victim because of her age.

Investigators with the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit were called to take over the investigation and determined that the girl was attacked by an ex-boyfriend in the club's parking lot.

Investigators allege Hall shot the victim before fleeing the scene.

Both Hall and the victim were residents of Tuscaloosa County.

Tuscaloosa Police and other law enforcement agencies, including federal agents, had been working to locate Hall before he surrendered in Aliceville early Sunday.

The investigation remains ongoing.
