On Sunday, September 12, students, educators, and community members celebrated the recent opening of Northport Intermediate School with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
Northport Intermediate serves approximately 515 students in fifth and sixth grades, rising from Flatwoods Elementary School and Huntington Place Elementary School. NIS opened to students on August 12, the first day of the 2021-2022 school year. Mr. Michael Tilford serves as Principal and Dr. Jessica Sartain serves as Assistant Principal.
