Tuscaloosa Deputies Charge Man For Stealing Vehicle At Gunpoint
The Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office says it has apprehended a suspect accused of stealing a vehicle at gunpoint Tuesday morning.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office says it has apprehended a suspect accused of stealing a vehicle at gunpoint Tuesday morning.

In a release Tuesday afternoon, TCSO said at approximately 8:00 a.m. dispatchers received a report of a stolen vehicle from the 3900 Block of 23rd Street NE in Tuscaloosa.

Deputies responded to the scene, at which time another 911 call was received for a second report of a stolen vehicle in the 10000 Block of Covered Bridge Road in Brookwood.
TCSO says the caller reported that the vehicle was taken by gunpoint, which saw additional patrol units and investigators respond.

Deputies reportedly located the suspect and stolen vehicle, before initiating a traffic stop on Highway 11 near Grey Hill Road.
Patrick Darnell Campos, 39, was taken into custody and charged with first degree theft of property first degree robbery.
He remains in the Tuscaloosa County Jail, with his total bond set at $90,000.
