1. The Tuscaloosa City Council will now have two more new faces after runoffs on Tuesday, with Matthew Wilson winning the open District 1 seat and John Faile unseating incumbent Eddie Pugh in District 6. Check out the rests here.
2. Cassius Lanier has been granted a pardon that could allow him to assume the District 7 seat on the Tuscaloosa City Council, Jason Morton reports, after defeating incumbent Sonya McKinstry in the March 2 municipal election. However, the legal challenge by McKinstry is still ongoing (Tuscaloosa News).
3. The state of of Alabama has announced plans to halt the distribution of the Johnson and Johnson coronavirus vaccine, Michael Seale reports for our Birmingham Patch.
4. Kentuck Art Center is collaborating with the Northport Housing Authority to bring art supply kits to 46 children in the West Circle community once a month through September. Email kentuck@kentuck.org to learn more.
