Tuscaloosa Farmers Market Named Best Farmers Market In Alabama

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The City of Tuscaloosa announced on Tuesday that the Tuscaloosa Farmers Market has been voted Best Farmers Market in Alabama as part of the 2022 America’s Farmers Market Celebration Awards.

The national contest is held annually by the American Farmland Trust and the Farmer’s Market Coalition, with voters casting ballots each year between June and September.

For the 2022 awards, the Tuscaloosa Farmers Market was voted 1st in Alabama, 27th in the Southeast, and 72nd in the United States.

“It is an honor to see our Farmers Market receiving such high recognition,” City Venues Operations Manager Alexis Clark said in a press release. “We are grateful to everyone who voted for our market, but even more so to the patrons who regularly visit our weekly market to support our local farmers, artisans and vendors.”

Open year-round, the Tuscaloosa Farmers Market is open Saturdays 7 a.m. to noon at the Tuscaloosa River Market, which is located at 1900 Jack Warner Parkway.
