TUSCALOOSA, AL — Investigators say a family allegation resulted in the arrest of a Tuscaloosa man for sexual abuse of a child after the evidence was presented to a grand jury.

Adam Dalton Sanders, 21, was indicted on two felony charges and booked into the Tuscaloosa County Jail Monday, charged with first-degree sexual abuse and sexual abuse of a child younger than 12 years old.

Sanders' total bond was set at $40,000 and he remained in jail as of Wednesday morning, according to online jail records.

Captain Jack Kennedy, commander of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, told Patch the victim was under 12 years old and there would be no other information released at this point in the investigation.
