Tuscaloosa Man Identified As Victim In Fatal Motorcycle Accident
TPD has released more information on a fatal motorcycle accident that occurred on University Boulevard Thursday evening.
TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa Police Department has identified a Tuscaloosa man killed in a motorcycle accident on University Boulevard Thursday evening that was initially called in as a hit-and-run.

James Darrin Spencer, 56, died from injuries sustained in the accident that occurred just after 8 p.m. in the area west of the intersection of University Boulevard and 17th Avenue, TPD announced Friday morning.

The department's Accident Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
TPD also said the stretch of University Boulevard near the crash site remained closed to traffic until 1 a.m. Friday morning
