Tuscaloosa Man Killed Early Monday Morning In Crash On MLK Boulevard

​ A Tuscaloosa man was killed in a single-vehicle crash early Monday morning on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — A Tuscaloosa man was killed in a single-vehicle crash early Monday morning, according to a release from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA).

ALEA says at approximately 1:50 a.m. Ramone A. Hardy, 29, was fatally injured when the 2004 Toyota Camry he was driving left the roadway, struck a utility pole and overturned on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

The crash occurred roughly five miles north of the Northport city limits.

ALEA Senior Trooper and Public Information Officer Reginal M. King said Hardy was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
