Tuscaloosa Man With 'Nightlife' Connections Charged With Sexual Abuse, Burglary

The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit is investigating a reported sexual abuse and burglary that led to the arrest of a Tuscaloosa man.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit is investigating a reported sexual abuse case and burglary that led to the arrest of a 32-year-old Tuscaloosa man.

Captain Jack Kennedy, commander of the multiagency unit, said the investigation began in January 2026 after the unit received a report involving Deunta Sherron Wilson.

Following the investigation, Wilson was charged with first-degree sexual abuse and third-degree burglary.

He is currently being held at the Tuscaloosa County Jail on a consolidated $35,000 cash bond.

Kennedy said investigators believe there may be additional victims based on information uncovered during the investigation.

Authorities said Wilson has ties to and is active within Tuscaloosa’s nightlife community.

The investigation remains ongoing.

Kennedy said due to the nature of the allegations and patterns commonly associated with these types of offenses, investigators are encouraging anyone who believes they may have been a victim, or who has information about possible abuse involving Wilson, to contact the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit at (205) 464-8690.
