Tuscaloosa NAACP Readies For Juneteenth Community Celebration
The Tuscaloosa Branch of the NAACP is set to host the area's annual Juneteenth Celebration on Saturday, June 18
TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa Branch of the NAACP is set to host the area's annual Juneteenth Celebration next month, with numerous events on the schedule.

The Community Celebration will kick off at 9:30 a.m. with line up beginning for the parade Parade at 9:30 a.m. in the Westlawn Middle School parking lot.

The parade will be followed by a community cookout from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Palmore Park, featuring State Sen. Bobby Singleton and State Rep. A.J. McCampbell working the grill.
The week of events will also include a financial literacy and home buying seminar at the McDonald's Hughes Community Center on Thursday, June 16 from 5 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. , which will include professionals on hand to offer advice and information.
