TUSCALOOSA, AL — Two people are in custody after an argument saw at least one gunshot fired in the area of the Little Caesars and AT&T Store on Highway 69 South Thursday.

Tuscaloosa Police Department spokesperson Stephanie Taylor told Patch that an officer was working a wreck on Highway 69 when he heard gunshots nearby.

Captain Marty Sellers, of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, said the area of interest for investigators was in the vicinity of Old Greensboro Road and Mimosa Park Road, with the call coming in at about 12:30 p.m.
A large police presence then converged on the scene, where two individuals were taken into custody and are currently being questioned.

No one was injured by the gunfire, TPD said.
