Tuscaloosa Police Investigating Fatal Shooting On 33rd Street East

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that left one person dead Tuesday evening.

TPD spokeswoman Stephanie Taylor told local media that officers were called to Hodo Haven Apartments in the 600 block of 33rd Street East at 6:11 p.m. on a report of a shooting.

Taylor said once officers arrived, they found a male victim had died after being shot.

The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit is responding to the scene and will release additional details as they come available.
