'All Clear' Given After TPD Responds To U-Haul Truck Left At Federal Courthouse

There is no danger to the public after police responded to a suspicious U-Haul outside of the federal courthouse on Thursday.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — A suspicious U-Haul truck in front of the federal courthouse on University Boulevard in downtown Tuscaloosa prompted road closures Thursday morning and a response from the Tuscaloosa Police Department's Hazardous Device Unit.

Fortunately, TPD confirmed that the driver has been located and there is no danger to the public.

The roads in the area were blocked off by TPD out of an abundance of caution as the scene was processed.

TPD said the scene was cleared just before 10:30 a.m.
